Free On Line Quilt Patterns

Today there are numerous free on line quilt patterns offered. The easiest to find are those that have been supplied by a major quilting design and manufacturing company and/or quilting designer. They have often been designed with the latest seasonal fabrics in mind.


Below the list of manufacturers (sometimes going through all their sites can be a real mission and a great time consumer) you will find some of their free patterns. Because they create free patterns to showcase their current fabric range their patterns are often not organised by category eg Baby Quilts, Panel Quilts etc and this makes it harder to find a suitable pattern.

I have organised some of these patterns into categories that I hope will make that job easier for you. It will give you an idea of the type of free patterns that can be found and whether a deeper search will be something that you will want to do.

To download these patterns you will need to have the latest version of Adobe Reader on your computer. It is a free software program and can be downloaded here.

Some of the patterns will fit into several categories so if you don't find what you're looking for then search another one. Primarily I looked at the size of the quilt, then the design when choosing where to place it.
